What I Offer

1:1 Coaching

Targeted, hourly sessions for students working through specific weak areas or finalizing exam readiness.

Best for students who already have a study plan and need accountability, problem-solving coaching, or focused help on specific topic areas (statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electricity and magnetism, mathematics).

Format: Virtual (Zoom) or in-person near Golden, CO. Sessions recorded on request.

Diagnostic and Study Plan

A single fixed-price intake session that benchmarks your current readiness and produces a written, week-by-week study plan to your exam date.

Includes a topic-area diagnostic, recommended reference materials, weekly milestone targets, and a follow-up check-in. Most useful 8 to 12 weeks before your scheduled exam.

Format: 90 minute session plus written plan delivered within 48 hours.

Small Group Cohort

A 6 to 8 week structured cohort timed to NCEES exam windows, capped at small group size for high engagement.

Weekly working sessions covering the full FE Other Disciplines blueprint, with practice problem sets and topic-area reviews. Cohort pricing is per student and significantly lower than 1:1.

Format: Virtual, weekly. Next cohort dates announced before each NCEES exam window.

Corporate and Team Prep

Custom programs for engineering firms putting EITs through the FE on a coordinated schedule.

Designed for employers who want to support their early-career engineers in earning licensure. Includes a kickoff session, structured weekly meetings, and progress reporting to the sponsoring company.

Format: Custom scope and pricing. Contact for a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which exam do you coach?

FE Other Disciplines. I am also available for general FE Mechanical coaching given the heavy topic overlap.

What materials do I need?

I will recommend specific references at the diagnostic stage. I do not require students to purchase any specific commercial review course.

Are you affiliated with NCEES?

No. This is independent coaching. NCEES owns and administers the FE exam. I am the FE Review Coordinator for the Mines ME department, which is a separate institutional role.

Do you guarantee a passing score?

No coach can ethically guarantee an exam outcome. What I provide is structured preparation, accountability, and topic-area expertise. Effort and consistency on the student side are required.

Where are you located?

Golden, Colorado. Most coaching is virtual; in-person is available locally by arrangement.
